Description

The filter existed, it was running and it had no drawings. To build the replacement we had to survey it completely on site: laser scan, point cloud, 3D model and new drawings from scratch.

The hard part of a sand filter is not the shell: it is the outlets. Every nozzle has to land exactly where the plant's piping already is, and there is no room to adjust in the field. We modelled every connection on the captured cloud and checked the fits before cutting the first plate.

The tank was delivered with its transport frame. A piece this size travels as an oversize load, and the frame is what guarantees it reaches site with its geometry intact and ready to lift.

It has been installed and running since 2022, bolted to the existing piping without a single modification on site.
